Genesis Rivera (ex Univ.Concepcion) agreed terms with Pastora de Lara

Pastora de Lara (LINABAFE) inked 25-year old former Venezuelan international swingman Genesis Rivera (180cm-96, college: UMass). She played recently at Univ.Concepcion in Chilean Liga Femenina. Rivera missed last season due to covid-19 restrictions and had longer break from professional basketball.
Rivera was also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. She played for Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2015 and 2018 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2013.
Rivera also represented Venezuela at the South American Championships in Tunja (Colombia) three years ago. Her stats at that event were 5 games: 1.6ppg, 2.8rpg.
Among many awards Rivera's team was regular season runner-up in Chilean Liga Femenina Group Sur in 2019. She received also Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Femenina Honorable Mention award in 2019 at her college time.
Rivera attended University of Massachusetts until 2019 and it will be her second season in pro basketball.
