Marriaga comes back to Trotamundos

Trotamundos de Carabobo (SLB) inked experienced 36-year old former international center Miguel Marriaga (205cm-102kg). It is actually his comeback to Valencia as he has played here before. Marriaga played last summer at Bucaneros in the SLB. In 15 games he recorded 9.3ppg, 9.5rpg (#4 in the league), 1.2apg, 1.3spg and 1.1bpg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SLB Honorable Mention.
Marriaga was also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. He played for Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2003 and 2016 and previously for U21 National Team in 2004.
Marriaga also represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) five years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 0.4ppg, 1.0rpg.
Marriaga is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina (Olimpico de La Banda and Estudiantes Concordia), Colombia (Barrancabermeja Ciudad Futuro, Islanders, Fast Break and Cimarrones), Italy, Mexico (Soles), Turkey and Venezuela (Marinos, Toros, Lanceros, Yaracuyanos and Aduaneros).
Among many awards Marriaga played in the final of Colombian LPB in 2019. He received also Latinbasket.com All-Colombian Federation Cup Center of the Year award back in 2012.
