Bethelmy's double-double lands him (Second Stage) Player of the Week award

34-year old forward Luis Bethelmy (200-F-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for Cocodrilos and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Indios (#10, 0-2), Second Stage bottom-ranked team 78-71. Cocodrilos is placed at 3rd position in Venezuelan league. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and Cocodrilos won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Bethelmy had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Cocodrilos, being already a very valuable addition to the team.

Second best performed player last round was Jhornan Zamora (196-G/F-89) of Trotamundos. He is naturalized Spanish swingman in his first season at Trotamundos. In the last game Zamora recorded impressive 26 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Trotamundos to another comfortable win outscoring Diablos (0-2) 90-66. His team has extremely good start of the Second Stage. They won their first game. However the Second Stage is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Zamora is one of the most experienced players at Trotamundos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Cocodrilos' star - forward Kelvin Caraballo (198-F-88). Caraballo showcased his all-around game by recording 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was another key player of Cocodrilos, helping his team with a 78-71 win against Indios (#10, 0-2). Cocodrilos has a very good start of the Second Stage. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Caraballo also has a very good start of the Second Stage with very strong stats. Caraballo has a very solid season. In 17 games in Venezuela he scored 5.2ppg. He also has 4.2rpg, 1.1bpg and FGP: 62.9%.
