Trotamundos keep Smith for another season

Defending champion Trotamundos de Carabobo (SPB) re-signed experienced 38-year old naturalized American 201cm small forward Donta Smith (college: SE Illinois JC). Smith played there last season. He missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball.
In 2004 he was drafted by Atlanta Hawks (NBA) in second round (34th overall). The former Southeastern Illinois College (JUCO) standout is in his 19th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Smith is a very experienced player. Thanks to Smith's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in ten different countries. He has played previously professionally in Australia, Bulgaria, China, Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem and Next Urban Maccabi Haifa), Mexico (Fuerza Regia), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros, Gigantes, Cariduros, Cangrejeros and Indios), France (Pau Lacq Orthez and Metropolitans), Italy (Brindisi), Venezuela (Marinos, Espartanos and Bucaneros) and The Basketball Tournament (Team Rondo).
