Cocodrilos tab Gelvis Solano

Cocodrilos de Caracas (SPB) inked 28-year old Dominican 185cm forward Gelvis Solano (college: Merrimack). Solano plays this summer at Reales in LNB league in Dominican Republic. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 6 LNB games he averaged 14.2ppg, 5.7apg and 2.8spg. Solano also played for Gregorio Urbano Gilbert (Santiago League) in Dominican Rep. league that season. He helped them to win the league title.
Solano represented Dominican Republic at the World Cup in China three years ago. Solano's team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 5 games: 5.8ppg, 2.6rpg, Assists-4 (6.6apg), 1.4spg, FGP: 36.0%, 3PT: 23.1%, FT: 18.2%.
He is a very experienced player. Solano has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Echague and Olimpico), Brazil (Paulistano), Colombia (Tigrillos), Hungary (Szolnok), Italy (Bergamo), Mexico (Mineros) and China (Hunan).
Solano graduated from Merrimack College in 2016 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
Solano's game is described as: A guard with many points in their hands and went top 5 guard throughout the NCAA2 , someone who is going to notice your prensencia where show your professionalism by its easy offensive and intelligence on both sides of the court , is also great passer and key in the last moments of the game player.
