Davis number one in Venezuela SPB for round 16 (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Dwayne Davis (196-F-1989) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Trotamundos, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, three rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Llaneros (#4, 4-8) 81-74. It allowed Trotamundos to consolidate first place in the Venezuelan SPB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Trotamundos keeps a perfect 10-0 record. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Trotamundos' top player in his first season with the team. Dwayne Davis averages this season 13.2ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tanksley Efianayi (198-G/F-1994) of Supersonicos. Efianayi had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for Supersonicos to edge slightly higher-ranked Spartans (#2, 4-7) 95-93. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East-A. Supersonicos consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Efianayi is a newcomer at Supersonicos, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Keron DeShields (190-PG-1992, agency: BIG) of league's second-best Heroes. DeShields showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Heroes, leading his team to a 80-65 easy win against #4 ranked Gaiteros. Heroes needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in West-B. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. DeShields has a great season in Venezuela. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.9apg (5th best).
