Cuban Power forward Marlon Diaz (200-F/C-1998, agency: Pro Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Guaros, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 33.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Gaiteros (#5, 5-17) 92-79. Guaros maintains the 4th position in their group in Venezuelan SPB. The second best player in last round's games was young Spanish Jhonatan Araujo (206-F/C-1996) of league's leader Centauros. Araujo had a very good evening with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Centauros to another comfortable win 99-85 over slightly lower-ranked Heroes (#3, 10-12) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in West-B. Centauros consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 18 matches. Araujo is a newcomer at Centauros, but is already one of team's top players.
