Defending champion Trotamundos-de-Carabobo (SPB) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 35-year old American 198cm swingman Mario Little (college: Kansas) for the upcoming SPB 2023 season. Little joins another USA player Dwight Buycks who is already in the roster.
He played recently at Al Rayyan in Qatari QBL league. In 6 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 5.8rpg, 5.8apg and 5.2spg (in top 2) last season. The last season he played at Levski in Bulgarian NBL where in 29 games he was league's fifth best scorer with 14.0ppg and had 3.1rpg and 3.1apg. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final and to the Cup final. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com Bulgarian League All-Imports Team and Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Third Team. He also played 9 games in Balkan League where he averaged remarkable 16.3ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.3apg and 1.8spg. Little contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. A very good season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Balkan League 2nd Team.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
Little is a very experienced player. Thanks to Little's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eleven different countries. He has played previously professionally in Croatia (Zadar), Greece (Aris and Ifaistos), Israel (Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia), Italy (Pesaro), Philippines (TNT Tropang), Spain (Manresa), Ukraine (DniproAzot), South Korea (LG Sakers, Anyang and Seoul Knights), Venezuela (Guaros), NBA G League (OKC Blue) and The Basketball Tournament (Self Made). His team won Big 12 Regular Season in 2009 and 2011.
He graduated from University of Kansas in 2011 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
