Ingram's double-double lands him Player of the Week award- March 31, 2023
He had a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Llaneros (#4, 1-4) 85-80. Taurinos is placed at 3rd position in Venezuelan league. Taurinos is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Ingram had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Taurinos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Central Florida graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ingram is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 8.0rpg) and averages solid 57.9% FGP. Worth to mention Ingram played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Second best performed player last round was Aaron Fuller (198-F-1989, agency: Haylett Sports) of Gigantes. He is American-Mexican forward in his first season at Gigantes. In the last game Fuller recorded impressive 28 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Gigantes lost that game 77-86 to Eastern Conference East's leader Piratas (#2, 5-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Eastern Conference East. Gigantes still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Gigantes managed to get this year. Fuller is one of the most experienced players at Gigantes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#3). He also registered 9.8 boards per game. Third place about best performers goes to guard Yeison Colome (190-SG-1996) of Marinos (#5). Colome scored 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Colome's great performance Marinos lost 94-97 to the higher-ranked Guaiqueries (#1, 5-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Marinos can only dream about fighting for top spots in Eastern Conference North. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Colome has individually a great season in Venezuela. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.8ppg (best scorer).
