Guaros - Brillantes 83-77 The game between Top Four teams took place in Barquisimeto. Third ranked host Guaros (14-5) defeated 4th ranked Brillantes (12-7) 83-77. Guaros players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-1986) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the effort and Spanish-Colombian power forward Juan Tello-Palacios (206-1985) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import center Ricardo Glenn (203-1990, college: USC Upstate, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Brillantes' coach Steve Walton rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Guaros have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Brillantes at the other side keep the fourth position with seven games lost. Guaros will play against Llaneros (#8) in Caracas in the next round where they are favorite. Brillantes will play on the road against Centauros (#5) in Margarita and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
