SPB 2023 - Jamil Wilson (ex Ponce) is a newcomer at Guaros

Guaros de Lara (SPB) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old American forward Jamil Wilson (201cm-104kg-1990, college: Marquette). Wilson played this summer at Ponce in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 18 games just recently he recorded 11.2ppg, 7.0rpg, 3.5apg and 1.7bpg. He also played for Vaqueros (BSN) where in 9 games he averaged 9.7ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.4apg and 2.1bpg.
Wilson has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Wilson's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in eleven different countries. Wilson has played previously professionally in Germany (Brose Bamberg), Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Effie Capital Rishon Le-Zion), Italy (RO Virtus, Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Torino), Lithuania (Prienai), Mexico (Plateros), Russia (UNICS Kazan), NBA (Dallas Mavericks and LA Clippers), Puerto Rico (Cangrejeros and Piratas), Uruguay (Nacional), NBA G League (Texas Legends, Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Ontario Clippers) and The Basketball Tournament (Golden Eagles). he was also voted toAll-Racine County Player of the Year back in 2008 and 2009.
His college team made it to the Israeli Cup Final Four in 2021.
He graduated from Marquette University in 2014 and it will be his eleventh season as a professional player. Wilson played also for University of Oregon for one year.
