Chalon/Saone sign a second foreign player, ex Guaros

Newly promoted ES Chalon-Sur-Saone (Betclic ELITE ProA) tabbed experienced 34-year old American 190cm guard Jermaine Love (college: UIS) for new season. Love is the second foreign player in the roster as Slovenian Aleksej Nikolic signed here earlier.
He played this summer at Guaros in Venezuelan SPB league. In 14 games just recently he averaged 11.9ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. The last season he played at BC Nizhny Novgorod in Russian league where in 32 VTB United League games he had 14.7ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg. He can count that season as a very successful as was voted to VTB United League All-Star Game and League Player of the Week (2 times).
Love is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece (PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki, Kolossos H Hotels Rodou and Holargos), Israel (Hapoel Holon), Italy (Verona), Lithuania (Lietkabelis, Nevezis and Vilniaus) and Poland (Trefl). His team won Russian Cup in 2023.
Among many awards he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian NKL Import Player of the Year back in 2015.
Love graduated from University of Illinois at Springfield in 2012 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. He played also for Prairie State College for one year.
