Warren number one in Venezuela SPB for round 14

American Swingman Micheal Warren (196-F/G-1995) had a great game in the last round for Gaiteros de Zulia, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out Guaiqueries (#6, 4-4) 78-77. Gaiteros is placed at 5th position in Venezuelan SPB. Gaiteros is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. In the team's last game Warren had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Gaiteros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former California State University Northridge star has very solid stats this year. Warren is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.1ppg) and averages impressive 57.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was French Ludgy Debaut (213-C, agency: Helping Ballers) of Llaneros de Guarico. Debaut had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Llaneros lost that game 61-75 to the higher-ranked Brillantes (#4, 5-4). Llaneros managed to keep the same 7th spot in Group I. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Llaneros managed to get this year. Debaut is one of the most experienced players at Llaneros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dominican Rep. guard Juan Suero (196-G-1993, agency: BMS Sport Agency) of Piratas de la Guaira (#3). Suero scored 21 points and passed 7 assists. He was a key player of Piratas, leading his team to a 82-70 win against the lower-ranked Diablos (#9, 2-8). Piratas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group II. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Suero has a great season in Venezuela. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.8ppg (4th best) and assists with 3.7apg (5th best).
