Llaneros de Guarico (SPB) tabbed 31-year old Angolan-Spanish ex-international 203cm forward Julio De Assis. De Assis played most recently at U.M.F. Grindavik in Icelandic Subway League. In 24 games he averaged 12.3ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.0apg and 1.2spg last season. He was a member of Angolan Senior National Team back in 2018.
De Assis has played previously professionally also in Spain (Ourense, Grupo Ureta Tizona Burgos, Pas Pielagos, Menorca and Zamora) and Iceland (Breidablik and Vestri).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in Spanish LEB Plata Group West in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Honorable Mention in 2023.
