Duarte number one in Venezuela SPB for round 31 (by Hoops Agents)

Swingman Luis Duarte (190-G/F-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for Broncos BBC de Caracas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 31.
The 29-year old player got a double-double of 13 points and 10 assists, while his team edged out Pioneros (#3, 11-9) 88-87. Broncos maintains the 4th position in their group in the Venezuelan SPB. Broncos is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-9 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Duarte as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Luis Duarte averages this season 9.6ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Michael Watkins (206-F-1995) of Piratas de la Guaira. Watkins had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Piratas to edge slightly lower-ranked Heroes (#5, 10-10) 79-77. Piratas' 4th position in Group II has not changed. His team's 11-7 record is not bad at all. Watkins is one of the most experienced players at Piratas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Paul Jackson (188-G-1996, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) of league's top team Gladiadores de Anzoategui. Jackson scored 28 points. He was a key player of Gladiadores, leading his team to a 93-61 easy win against the lower-ranked Frontinos (#7, 8-12). Gladiadores confirms their top position in Group I. Jackson has a very solid season. In 17 games in Venezuela he scored 10.9ppg. Jackson attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
