SPB 2024 - Durrell Summers drafted by Broncos

Durrell Summers

Broncos BBC de Caracas (SPB) agreed terms to draft experienced 35-year old American (has also Mexican passport) small forward Durrell Summers (196cm-93kg-1989, college: Michigan State) for the SPB 2024 playoffs. Summers will still stay in where he played the regular season at Brillantes in Venezuelan SPB league.
In 2011 he was drafted by Maine Red Claws (D-League) in second round (8th overall).
The former Michigan State standout is in his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in thirteen different countries. Summers tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Bahia, Echague and Olimpo), Australia, Chile (Concepcion, Valdivia, Osorno and Puerto Montt), Finland (Karhubasket), France, Germany (Eisbaeren Bremerhaven), Hungary, Israel, Uruguay (Summersbraica), Mexico (Dorados, Frayles de Guasave, Dorados, Caballeros de Culiacan and Mineros), NBA G League (Greensboro Swarm), Venezuela (Centauros) and Mongolia (Apes and Umnugovi). Summers' team made it to the Mexican LBE Semifinals in 2024. He was voted to Latinbasket.com Chilean Liga Nacional All-Imports Team back in 2016 and 2017.
