SPB 2024 - Jose Vargas is back at Trotamundos via draft

Trotamundos de Carabobo (SPB) agreed terms with experienced 42-year old ex-international swingman Jose Vargas (195cm-100kg-1982, agency: Pro Sports) to come back through the SPB 2024 . It is actually his comeback to La Asuncion as he has played here before. Vargas played this summer at Toros in the SPB. In 20 games just recently he had 11.2ppg, 6.0rpg and 3.3apg.
He was also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. Vargas played for Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2006 and 2021 and previously for U18 National Team in 2000.
He represented Venezuela at the World Cup in China five years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 2.8ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.0spg.
Vargas has played also professionally in Argentina (La Union) and Mexico (Algodoneros, Ola Verde, Fuerza Regia and Soles) and Venezuela (Guaros de Lara 2nd team, Panteras, Marinos, Gaiteros and Guaros). He won Venezuelan LNB championship title in 2013 and 2017. Vargas was voted to Venezuelan LPB All-Star Game back in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2014.
