Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Undefeated leader Gaiteros delivered the eleventh consecutive win on Monday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Frontinos (5-6) 84-70 in Maracaibo. Gaiteros made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Frontinos turnovers. American point guard Derek StHilaire (183-1998, college: New Orleans) fired 14 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. The other American import guard Nahziah Carter (198-1999, college: Washington) chipped in 14 points. The former international point guard Leonardo Palacios (186-1994) produced 18 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Gaiteros (11-0) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 11 victories in a row. Frontinos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Trotamundos. Gaiteros are again looking forward to face Frontinos (#6) in Tachira in the next round where they are favorite. Frontinos will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in Caracas. Thirteenth ranked Toros (4-8) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 14th ranked Llaneros (2-9) 77-75 in the game for the thirteenth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Llaneros. Worth to mention a great performance of American Rakim Brown (198-1991, college: Humboldt St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Brian Guidi contributed with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American forward Delwan Graham (200-1988, college: Jacksonville, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds for Llaneros. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Toros maintains thirteenth position with 4-8 record. Llaneros at the other side stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

In the last game of round 16 Piratas were defeated by Spartans in Caracas 86-72.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Piratas' (5-5) road loss to fourth ranked Spartans (8-4) 72-86. Spartans outrebounded Piratas 40-25 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Spartans players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a very good performance for Dominican swingman Jassel Perez (195-2001) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Colombian Luis Almanza (196-1991) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Spartans players scored in double figures. Dominican guard Juan Suero (196-1993) replied with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American DaJuan Summers (203-1988, college: Georgetown) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Piratas. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Spartans have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Marinos.
