SLFB 2025 - Yolimar Martinez signs at Diosas

SLBF newcomer Diosas de Guacara landed 30-year old former international 184cm center Yolimar Martinez for new season. Martinez played last summer at Pastoras. She helped them to win the Superliga title.
Martinez was also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. She played for Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2013 and 2023 and previously for U16 National Team back in 2011.
Martinez also represented Venezuela at the FIBA South American Women's Championship in San Luis (Argentina) three years ago. Her team got to the Semifinals and her stats at that event were 4 games: 1.3ppg, 1.3rpg.
She has played previously for six other teams: Falcon, Bucaneras, Atleticas, Patriotas, Capitalinas and Zulianas.
Among many awards she was voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan Superliga Center of the Year back in 2022.
