American Forward Myke Henry (198-F-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for Brillantes de Zulia, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 35.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (31 points, four rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Frontinos (#13, 6-18) with 25-point margin 115-90. Brillantes maintains the 7th position in Venezuelan SPB. Brillantes is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-12 record. In the team's last game Henry had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Brillantes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former De Paul University star has very solid stats this year. Henry is in league's top in points (8th best: 17.1ppg) and averages impressive 58.5% FGP and 40.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Dominican Rep. Luis Santos (203-C-1994) of Marinos de Oriente. Santos had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Marinos lost that game 64-78 to the lower-ranked Piratas (#9, 11-11). Marinos managed to keep the same 3rd spot in the standings. His team's 15-9 record is not bad at all. Santos is one of the most experienced players at Marinos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Jovanni Diaz (203-F-1990) of Frontinos Del Tachira (#13). Diaz showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Diaz's great performance the Frontinos lost 90-115 to the higher-ranked Brillantes (#7, 12-12). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Frontinos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 6-18 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Diaz has a very solid season. In 23 games in Venezuela he scored 10.9ppg.
