SPB 2025 - Trotamundos add Gregory Vargas to their roster

Trotamundos de Carabobo (SPB) added to their roster experienced 39-year old international point guard Gregory Vargas (181cm-1986) via draft for the Super 4 round, after his Gladiadores de Anzoategui were eliminated. Vargas played this summer at Gladiadores. In 31 SPB games just recently he recorded 12.2ppg, 5.6rpg, 8.2apg and 1.5spg.
He also represented Venezuela at the World Cup in China six years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 6.2ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.4apg, FGP: 37.5%, 3PT: 11.1%, FT: 83.3%.
Vargas is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in France (Sluc Nancy), Israel (Next Urban Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Haifa), Mexico (Halcones Rojos and Halcones UV Xalapa), Puerto Rico (Maratonistas and Brujos), Romania (Cluj Napoca), Spain (Fuenlabrada) and Venezuela (Panteras, Cocodrilos, Marinos, Guaros and Miranda). Vargas won Venezuelan SPB championship title in 2023 and 2024. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LNB Guard of the Year back in 2006 and 2008.
