Gaiteros - Pioneros 76-81

Dominican-American forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese-American center Malik Dime (206-1992, college: Washington, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 20 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Pioneros players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Jose Ascanio (204-1996) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Luis Duarte (190-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Marinos - Trotamundos 71-81

The former international center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and Dominican guard Juan Suero (196-1993) supported him with 10 points and 5 assists. Four Trotamundos players scored in double figures. Even 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) by the former international forward Michael Carrera (196-1993, college: S.Carolina, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Marinos. The former international forward Luis Bethelmy (200-1986) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
