World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers: Venezuela outlast Chile for first win

Venezuela opened win count at the 2027 World Cup Americas Qualifiers. They topped Chile to improve at 1-2 record in Group C. Yeferson Guerra (192-G-2003) and Elian Centeno (200-PF-2000) scored 16 and 13 points respectively to pace the winners.
Venezuela exploded with 29 points in the second period to gain a 41-25 halftime lead. Venezuela extended the lead in the third term. They arrived at the final break up by 18 points. Chile ignited a strong rally in the fourth period but came up short of win at the end.
Sebastian Suarez (193-SF-1991, college: Portland St.) tossed in 21 points, while Felipe Haase (206-F-1998, college: Southern Miss) had 16 points for Chile.
