SPB 2026 - Brillantes sign Duane Wilson, ex Defensor

Duane Wilson

Brillantes de Zulia (SPB) signed 31-year old American guard Duane Wilson (189cm-84kg-1994, college: Texas A&M). He just played at Defensor in Uruguayan LUB league. In 6 games he had 14.0ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.8apg last season. Last summer, he played at Fort Wayne Champs in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament. He also played 2 games in TBT where he recorded 5.0ppg, 1.0rpg and 1.0apg.
In 2018, he was selected by the Maine Red Claws (G-League) in the third round (9th overall) draft.
Wilson graduated from Texas A&M University and this will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Wilson has also played professionally between France (C'Chartres), Germany (46ers and Falcons), Holland (QSTA Utd), Hungary (OSE Lions), and Italy (RO SAzzurra).
In addition to these achievements, he won the Eurobasket.com All-German ProA Import Player of the Year award in 2024. His team reached the Liga Sudamericana Semifinals in 2025.
Wilson, a former Eurobasket Summer League player, is considered one of the top international summer league players on the market. He also played for Marquette University for 4 years.
