In 2012, he was drafted by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (D-League) in the fourth round (55th overall). He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology and this will be his 14th season in pro basketball. Rice is a highly experienced player, having played in fifteen different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, and North America). He has played professionally in Argentina (Instituto), Australia (Breakers), Bahrain (Al-Ahli), Iran (Chemidor), Israel (Hapoel Holon and Maccabi Haifa), Lithuania (Juventus), Mexico (Aaguacateros and Halcones de Ciudad Obregon), Philippines (Giga), Puerto Rico (Criollos), Saudi Arabia (Al Fateh), Venezuela (Cocodrilos), Dominican Republic (Plaza, Reales, and Immortals), ABA (Atlanta Aliens), Nicaragua (Real Esteli), and Big3 (Power). He won the Nicaraguan League championship title in 2025. He was voted Latinbasket.com All-United Pro Invitational Sports Illustrated TKS Player of the Year and Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan League Defensive Player of the Year in 2025.
