Tae Williams gets MVP of the Week award for Venezuelan SPB

American Tae Williams (201-G/F-2000, agency: JCK Sports Group) put on an amazing game in the last round for Panteras de Miranda and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 25-year old swingman had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Spartans (#6, 3-2) 96-94. Panteras maintains the 10th position in Venezuelan SPB. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 3 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Panteras, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Cleveland State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (8th best: 17.3ppg) and rebounds (5th best: 8.5rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Dominican Rep. guard Juan Suero (196-G-1993) of Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas. Suero impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Spartans was edged by the lower-ranked Panteras (#10, 1-3) 96-94. This loss caused Spartans to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Suero is one of the most experienced players at Spartans and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Juan Guerrero (203-PF-1993) of Guaiqueries de Margarita (#3). Guerrero scored 28 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Guaiqueries, leading his team to a 99-77 easy win against #2 ranked Marinos in a game of the week. Guaiqueries needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Guerrero has a great season in Venezuela. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.5ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 7.8rpg (9th best).
