SPB 2026 - Anyeuri Castillo comes back to Pioneros

Anyeuri Castillo

Pioneros Del Avila (SPB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 28-year-old American forward Anyeuri Castillo (has also Dominican Rep. passport) (201cm-93kg-1997, college: USC Aiken). It is actually his comeback to Caracas as he has played here before. He just played at Al Markaziyyah in Lebanese DLBL. In 17 games, he recorded very impressive stats: 24.2ppg, 8.4rpg, 6.2apg, 1.8spg, and 1.0bpg last season.
He is quite an experienced player. Thanks to Castillo's pro career, he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America) in six different countries. Castillo has played professionally in Argentina (Riachuelo de La Rioja), Chile (Los Leones), Dominican Republic (San Carlos, Soles, Plaza, and Retiro23), Mexico (Dorados), and Spain (Palma Fibwi).
Among many awards, his team won the Dominican Republic TBS Regular Season in 2025. He was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SPB Honorable Mention in 2025.
Castillo graduated from the University of South Carolina - Aiken in 2021 and is currently in his fifth season as a professional player. He has also played for other colleges such as Kent State University and Central Georgia Technical College.
