Colon number one in Venezuela SPB for round 10 (by Hoops Agents)

Dominican Rep. Shooting guard Diego Colon (188-SG-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for Cocodrilos de Caracas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, three rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Heroes (#12, 1-6) 83-73. Cocodrilos maintains the 3rd position in Venezuelan SPB. They are still close to the very top. Cocodrilos would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Colon had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Cocodrilos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Diego Colon has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.3ppg. Colon is in league's top in and averages impressive 54.1% FGP and 42.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Brevin Galloway (188-G-1997, agency: BIG) of Pioneros Del Avila. Galloway had a very good evening with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Pioneros cruised to a 74-67 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Brillantes (#8, 3-2). Pioneros' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Galloway is one of the most experienced players at Pioneros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Cocodrilos' star - Dominican Rep. Luis Montero (203-SF-1993). Montero showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Cocodrilos de Caracas, helping his team with a 83-73 win against the lower-ranked Heroes (#12, 1-6). Cocodrilos is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Montero has a great season in Venezuela. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.8rpg (6th best).
