Carter's 21 points give him Player of the Week award

26-year old American guard Nahziah Carter (198-G-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Gaiteros de Zulia and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 21 points adding five rebounds and three assists for Gaiteros in his team's victory, helping them to beat Cocodrilos (#4, 5-2) 91-80. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Gaiteros to consolidate first place in the Venezuelan league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Gaiteros keeps a perfect 7-0 record. In the team's last game Carter had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gaiteros' top player in his first season with the team. Nahziah Carter averages this season 15.9ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Juan Suero (196-G-1993) of Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas. He is Dominican Rep. guard in his first season at Spartans. In the last game Suero recorded an impressive 25 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Spartans to edge slightly lower-ranked Brillantes (#8, 3-3) by 5 points 84-79. Spartans' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Suero is one of the most experienced players at Spartans and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Gaiteros' star - guard Jesse Zarzuela (188-PG). Zarzuela scored 23 points. He was another key player of Gaiteros de Zulia, helping his team with a 91-80 win against #4 ranked Cocodrilos in a game of the week. Gaiteros have amazing season winning all 7 games without a single defeat. Zarzuela turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Zarzuela has a great season in Venezuela.
