Guaiqueries de Margarita (SPB) signed 30-year-old Venezuelan ex-international 190cm shooting guard Gendry Correa. It marks his return to Porlamar, where he previously played. Correa most recently played for Tomas de Rocamora in the Argentinian La Liga, averaging 13.5ppg, 3.2rpg, and 2.1apg in 19 games last season. He also played for Guaiqueries de Margarita last season and was a member of the Venezuelan Senior National Team in 2020.
Correa has played previously for four other Venezuelan teams: Marinos, Atleticos, Gladiadores, and Gladiadores.
He has won many awards, including playing in the final of the Venezuelan SPB in 2024. He was also voted the Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SLB Best Sixth Man of the Year in 2020.
