Tevin Glass gets MVP of the Week award for Venezuelan SPB

Experienced American Tevin Glass (203-C-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for Brillantes de Zulia and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 31-year old center had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out Marinos (#6, 7-5) 74-72. Brillantes maintains the 8th position in Venezuelan SPB. Brillantes is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. Glass just recently signed at Brillantes and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Tevin Glass averages just after two games 14.5ppg and 8.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Nahziah Carter (198-G-1999) of league's best team Gaiteros de Zulia. Carter impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Gaiteros to another comfortable win 78-63 over the lower-ranked Brillantes (#8, 6-6) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Gaiteros still keep the league's top spot. He plays for the best team in the league and Gaiteros managed to win all 11 games keeping a perfect record. Carter is a newcomer at Gaiteros and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.4ppg (#6).

The third best performed player last round was American Michael Watkins (206-F-1995) of second-ranked Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas. Watkins scored 8 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Spartans, leading his team to a 68-60 win against the lower-ranked Trotamundos (#5, 7-5). Spartans needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 3 lost games. Watkins has a very solid season. In 3 games in Venezuela he scored 15.3ppg.

9. Malik Dime (206-C-1992) of Marinos - 11 points and 8 rebounds
10. Vin Baker Jr (206-F-1999) of Brillantes - 13 points and 10 rebounds
