SPB 2026 - Coach Transactions - Pioneros hire Daniel Seoane as head coach

Venezuelan former Senior NT head coach Daniel Seoane has been announced as new head coach of Pioneros del Avila in Venezuela's Superliga Nacional de Baloncesto (SPB) 2026, replacing Argentinian Juan Nardini .

Seoane has also coached other SPB franchises such as Bucaneros de La Guaira, Gladiadores de Anzoategui or Panteras de Miranda. He led Venezuela to a Silver Medal in the 2023 Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile), while coaching the Senior National Team between 2023 and 2025.

He recently led Paisas de Medellin (Colombia) to a title in the 2025-I tournament, sweeping Caimanes del Llano in the Finals and giving the franchise its first ever national trophy. He later repeated the outcome in the 2025-II tournament, this time against Cimarrones del Choco.

He's also worked as a head coach in leagues of Uruguay and Israel and as an assistant coach in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico or Spain. His debut with Pioneros will come against Cocodrilos de Caracas on April 10th. Pioneros has a 6-7 record and is tied for 7th place in the SPB 2026 standings.

-Venezuelan assistant coach Daniel Dominguez has become the head coach due to the departure of Argentinian Nestor Garcia , who's been appointed to take over Gran Canaria in Spain's ACB

Centauros de Bolivar
-Venezuelan Daniel Centeno replaced countryman Ivan Garcia as head coach, while Jose Dos Santos replaced Pablo Machado as assistant coach

Heroes de Falcon
-Venezuelan Nelson Solorzano replaced Mexican Miguel Corona at the helm.

Panteras de Miranda
-Venezuelan assistant coach Alcides Mata took over as head coach after the release of Colombian head coach Bernardo Fitz-Gonzalez
