Colon number one in Venezuela SPB for round 29 (by Hoops Agents)

Dominican Rep. Shooting guard Diego Colon (188-SG-2001) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Cocodrilos de Caracas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, eight rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Heroes (#9, 6-11) 101-89. Cocodrilos maintains the 2nd position in Venezuelan SPB. They are still close to the very top. Cocodrilos would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-3 record. In the team's last game Colon had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Cocodrilos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Diego Colon has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.6ppg. Colon is in league's top in and averages impressive 52.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Michael Watkins (206-F-1995) of Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas. Watkins had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Spartans to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Piratas (#11, 5-12) 102-75. Spartans' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 13-4 record is not bad at all. Watkins is one of the most experienced players at Spartans and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Cocodrilos' star - Dominican Rep. Luis Montero (203-SF-1993). Montero scored 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He was another key player of Cocodrilos de Caracas, helping his team with a 101-89 win against the lower-ranked Heroes (#9, 6-11). Cocodrilos is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 14-3 record is not that bad... Montero has a great season in Venezuela. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 4.8apg (5th best). He also has 2.2spg and a FGP of 67.0%.
