Guerrero's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old Dominican Rep. power forward Juan Guerrero (203-PF-1993) had a great game in the last round for Guaiqueries de Margarita and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 34.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out Centauros (#12, 4-17) 71-67. Guaiqueries maintains the 4th position in Venezuelan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Guaiqueries will need more victories to improve their 15-7 record. In the team's last game Guerrero had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Guaiqueries, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Guerrero has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.8ppg), rebounds (6th best: 8.1rpg) and averages solid 62.1% FGP and 40.3% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Nahziah Carter (198-G-1999) of top-ranked Gaiteros de Zulia. He is American guard in his first season at Gaiteros. In the last game Carter recorded an impressive 29 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Gaiteros to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Piratas (#11, 6-14) 98-68. Of course Gaiteros still keep the league's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 18-2 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Carter is a newcomer at Gaiteros and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.1ppg (#2). He also recorded 3.3 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward KJ McDaniels (197-F-1993, agency: JCK Sports Group) of Marinos de Anzoategui (#6). McDaniels showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Marinos, leading his team to a 84-80 win against the lower-ranked Heroes (#9, 8-14). McDaniels has a very solid season. In 3 games in Venezuela he scored 18.0ppg.
