SPB 2026 - Trotamundos add Brite to their roster, ex Bauru

Trotamundos de Carabobo (SPB) added 32-year-old American point guard Dontrell Brite (175cm-76kg-1994, college: Mount Olive) to their roster. He moved there from Zopone/Gali/Unimed/Bauru Basket in the Brazilian NBB league, but it seems he will not stay with that team after all. In 29 NBB games, he recorded impressive stats: 17.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.7apg, and 2.8spg last season. He had a good year and was named League Player of the Week. Last season summer, he played at Diablos Rojos del Mexico (LNBP) in the Mexican league.
He has also played professionally in Colombia (Cafeteros) and Mexico.
Among many awards, he won the Liga Sudamericana championship title in 2022. Brite was also voted the Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian League Import Player of the Year in 2025.
He graduated from the University of Mount Olive in 2016 and is currently in his tenth season as a professional player.
