SPB 2026 - Spartans tab Rashard Kelly, ex Aomori W.

Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas (SPB) signed 30-year-old American 203cm power forward Rashard Kelly (college: Wichita State). He transferred from Aomori Watts in the Japanese B2 League. In 44 games, he averaged 14.4ppg, 7.8rpg, 4.7apg, and 1.6spg last season.
He is a very experienced player. Kelly has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America). He has played professionally in Australia (JackJumpers), France (JDA Dijon and ADA Blois), Italy (Dolomiti Trentino), Lithuania (Wolves), Russia (Parma-Pari), Turkey (Gaziantep), Ukraine (Prometey) and The Basketball Tournament (Aftershocks).
Among many awards he won was The Basketball Tournament championship title in 2025. Kelly was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League Honorable Mention back in 2021.
He graduated from Wichita State in 2018 and is currently in his eighth season in pro basketball.
