SPB 2026 - Windi Graterol drafted by Gaiteros

Defending champion Gaiteros de Zulia (SPB) strengthened their roster with the addition of experienced 39-year-old international 204cm center Windi Graterol. He moved there from Spartans. In 5 SPB games in Venezuela he just recently played, he recorded 4.0ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.0spg, and 1.0bpg last season. The last season he played at La Union Formosa (La Liga) in the Argentinian league.
He also represented Venezuela at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) three years ago. Graterol's team won Silver and he had almost 1 point per game.
Graterol is a very experienced player. He has played also in Argentina (Boca Juniors, Olimpico and Platense), Brazil (Brasilia), Chile (CD Universidad de Concepcion), Colombia (Cimarrones), Mexico (Halcones de Ciudad Obregon), Puerto Rico, Uruguay (Goes and Bigua), Venezuela (Cocodrilos, Guaiqueries, Marinos, Guaros and Miranda) and Dominican Republic (Metros).
Among many awards, his team was the regular season runner-up in the Venezuelan SPB Group Oriental in 2025. Graterol received the Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SPB Comeback Player of the Year award and was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SPB Honorable Mention in 2024. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Gaiteros.
