Regular Season Round 6: Independiente - Union SF 82-86
Date: February 24, 2021
Bottom-ranked Independiente (0-4) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to second ranked Union SF (4-1) 86-82 on Wednesday evening. Union SF looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Andres Jaime (184-0) who scored 27 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Sebastian Uranga (200-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Damian Palacios (178-85) who recorded 19 points and 9 assists and power forward Ignacio Luna (202-90) added 24 points respectively. Five Independiente players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Union SF keeps a position of league leader. Loser Independiente still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Riachuelo LR. Union SF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Independiente will play against Tiro Federal (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
