Regular Season Round 5: Ferro - Rocamora 57-65

The most interesting game of round 5 in the LaLiga was a home defeat of 6th ranked Ferro (2-3) to fifth ranked Rocamora (3-2) 65-57. It ended the two-game winning streak of Ferro. Rocamora forced 23 Ferro turnovers. Naturalized Uruguayan power forward Sabrina Scevola (178-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and guard Rocio Diaz (170-93) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Maria Bazan responded with 17 points and 5 steals and guard Micaela Sabater (168-99) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rocamora moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Union Florida and Berazategui. Newly promoted Ferro dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Los Indios. Rocamora is looking forward to face league's leader Velez in Sarsfield in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ferro will play on the road against the league's second-placed Obras (#2) in Buenos Aires and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
