No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Sp.America (8-9) crushed on the road 14th ranked Riachuelo LR (4-15) 93-71 on Saturday. Sp.America shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Riachuelo LR's players. Naturalized Italian center Omar Canton (205-82) nailed 29 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and forward Emilio Stucky (198-94) accounted for 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward TJ Robinson (203-89, college: LBSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and Diego Alvarez added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Riachuelo LR in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sp.America maintains eighth place with 8-9 record. Newly promoted Riachuelo LR keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Sp.America will meet at home higher ranked Estudiantes T.
