Important game to mention about took place in Rosario. Eighth ranked Sp.America (9-9) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Estudiantes T. (11-8) 63-62 on Monday evening. Sp.America made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Forward Emilio Stucky (198-94) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Pablo Fernandez (196-82) supported him with 17 points. Four Sp.America players scored in double figures. Even 12 points by point guard Emiliano Lezcano (187-1) did not help to save the game for Estudiantes T.. Center Rafael Banegas (204-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Estudiantes T.'s coach Gabriel Albornoz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sp.America moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Quilmes MP. Newly promoted Estudiantes T. keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Sp.America will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Estudiantes T. will play at home against Colon SF (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
