We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 14th ranked Riachuelo LR (8-18) lost to fifteenth ranked Independiente (6-18) in Santiago del Estero 68-76 on Friday. Bruno Ingratta (202-85) notched 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Emiliano Toretta (185-1) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Even 17 points by point guard Joaquin Baeza (182-86) did not help to save the game for Riachuelo LR. Diego Alvarez added 11 points and 5 assists. Four Riachuelo LR players scored in double figures. Riachuelo LR's coach Fabricio Salas rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Independiente maintains fifteenth position with 6-18 record. Newly promoted Riachuelo LR keeps the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. Independiente will meet at home higher ranked San Isidro (#13) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Riachuelo LR will play against Tiro Federal and hope to secure a win.
