Regular Season Round 4: Obras - Los Indios 83-57
Date: October 30, 2021
There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where bottom-ranked Los Indios (0-4) was crushed by fourth ranked Obras (2-1) 83-57 on Saturday. Obras dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Los Indios' 30. Obras forced 20 Los Indios turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Los Indios' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Belen Echeverria (178-89) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds and international Camila Suarez (178-0) who added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Four Obras players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jacqueline Soto responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and guard Micaela Gonzalez (167-96) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Obras moved-up to third place. Loser Los Indios still closes the standings with four games lost. Obras will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Los Indios will play against Catamarca (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
