Very important is a road loss of third ranked Bahia (2-5) against fourth ranked Quilmes MP (3-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Bahia was crushed by Quilmes MP in Mar del Plata 92-56. Quilmes MP dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Bahia's 20. They outrebounded Bahia 44-30 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by guard Lucas Ortiz (190-87) who scored that evening 22 points and forward Alex Negrete (192-1) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Joaquin Sanchez (188-98) did not help to save the game for Bahia. Brazilian center Gabriel Novaes (208-1) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quilmes MP moved-up to second place, which they share with Ameghino and Villa Mitre. Bahia lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Quilmes MP will meet at home league's second-placed Estudiantes O. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
