Rather predictable result when second ranked Ameghino (6-5) beat on the road 4th placed Rivadavia (2-9) 64-59 on Saturday. They outrebounded Rivadavia 42-31 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Abel Aristimuno (195-91, agency: BIG) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. Ameghino's coach Pablo Castro allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side swingman Alejandro Madera (193-91) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Pablo Bandeo (195-97, agency: BIG) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ameghino. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Estudiantes C. and Estudiantes T.
