Very expected game when 19th ranked Platense (1-10) lost to sixth ranked Union (8-6) in Santa Fe 62-69 on Monday. Union outrebounded Platense 51-36 including a 40-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Matias Reynoso nailed 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Ignacio Marchetti accounted for 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Union players scored in double figures. Union's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Giuliano Michelangei came up with 17 points and Tiago Coll added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Platense in the defeat. Union moved-up to fifth place. Platense lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. They share it with Olimpico. Union will meet San Lorenzo (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Platense will have a break next round.
