There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 16th ranked Quimsa (3-7) was defeated by sixth ranked Boca Jrs (9-1) 90-80 on Sunday. Boca Jrs looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Juan Contegrand fired 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Manuel Rodriguez (203-2) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Francisco Corradi produced a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and center Lucio Longoni (205-1) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five Boca Jrs and four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Boca Jrs have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Quimsa keeps the sixteenth position with seven games lost. Boca Jrs will meet at home Union (#6) in the next round. Quimsa will play against Penarol (#15) in Mar del Plata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
