Important game to mention about took place in San Miguel de Tucuman. Seventh ranked Villa S.Martin (5-2) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Estudiantes T. (4-2) 68-66 in the game for the second place. It was a great evening for American guard Michael Henry (196-95, college: Buffalo St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Santiago Perez (188-2) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was guard Jose Muruaga (188-84) with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Conrado Echevarria (195-98) scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Villa S.Martin moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Estudiantes T. dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Estudiantes O. and Zarate Basket. Villa S.Martin will play against Salta Basket (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Estudiantes T. will play against Echague (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
