Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Union (10-8) defeated 14th ranked San Lorenzo (6-7) in Santa Fe 80-76 on Monday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Union forced 20 San Lorenzo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Jeronimo Muller (183-2) nailed 22 points and 7 assists for the winning side and Ulises Gonzalez (-5) accounted for 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Union's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Guard Lucas Latorre (183-2) came up with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Franco Rocco (-3) added 4 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for San Lorenzo in the defeat. Four San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. Union moved-up to sixth place. Loser San Lorenzo dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with La Union. They will meet higher ranked Obera (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Lorenzo will play against the league's second-placed San Martin (#2) and hope to secure a win.
