Regular Season Round 20: Union SF - Argentino 79-89
Date: January 21, 2022
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixteenth ranked Argentino (6-10) beat 15th ranked Union SF (6-13) in Santa Fe 89-79. They outrebounded Union SF 40-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. American center Chris Daniels (208-84, college: TAMUCC, agency: Shark Sports Management) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and his fellow American import guard Thomas Cooper (196-92, college: Calgary) chipped in 19 points. Four Argentino players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Justin Everett (206-96, college: Humboldt St.) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Juan Pablo Cantero (188-82) scored 8 points and 6 assists. Union SF's coach Juan Francisco Ponce rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Argentino moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Platense. Union SF lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixteenth position with 13 games lost.
